HeiQ’s latest textile treatment combats friction

17/07/2013
Switzerland-based HeiQ has developed a textile treatment for sportswear and underwear that it says enhances wearers’ comfort and reduces friction.

Glider technology is a topical treatment for textiles that is typically applied via padding and which is suited to polyester, polyamide and cotton fabrics as well as blends.

The textile effects manufacturer says it helps garments remain comfortable longer, while maintaining important parameters such as hand feel, colour-fastness, moisture management, pilling and snagging properties.

The technology will be available for HeiQ mill partners starting from October 1.

HeiQ was founded in 2005 as a spin-off company of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology.
