Vaude appoints former Mammut man

German outdoor brand Vaude has appointed Uwe Gottschalk as head of products for the company. He has previously held senior roles in the product division at Mammut and Sigma and will be responsible for all Vaude product segments.

Vaude’s product division employs approximately 70 people and includes the departments for apparel, backpacks, hardware, shoes and design and implementation. The teams responsible for product management, technology and innovation are also located in this division.

Vaude CEO, Antje von Dewitz, praised Mr Gottschalk’s “experience and expertise” and added that his “passion for products and mountain sports” would make him an excellent addition to the team.

Mr Gottschalk said he was looking forward to helping Vaude “continue to develop its sustainable product philosophy successfully”.
