These insights informed several design features including cut-outs placed in high-movement areas such as the shoulders and under the arms to “maximise players’ range of motion”, the brand said. These can be seen on the women’s Aeroready Dress Pro and Heat.Rdy Match Skirt Pro.
To keep players cool, white colour-blocking is also widely present on the shoulder and torso areas, where the most heat is generated. On key products, a polo and tank top, the fabric chosen harnesses adidas’ AirChill ventilation technology, a combination of raised pattern motifs and mesh which are said to improve airflow.
The collection will be worn at Flushing Meadows by Jessica Pegula, Caroline Wozniacki, Elina Svitolina, Maria Sakkari, Daria Kasatkina, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Felix Auger-Aliassime.
