Lycra antistatic launches at Techtextil
The Lycra Company is introducing a new workwear-oriented elastane yarn at Techtextil, which opens tomorrow in Frankfurt. A special additive has been added to the polymer to deliver antistatic functions, alongside the yarn’s ability to stretch and recover. The integration of this new yarn in textiles will contribute to achieving key standards in workwear such as EN 1149 and IEC 61340, said The Lycra Company.
“Professional workwear and protective apparel must perform reliably every day, in demanding conditions. By combining antistatic functionality with the comfort, fit and freedom of movement provided by Lycra fibre, we help enable garments that workers are more willing to wear day after day,” commented Marc Souto, sales manager for West & South Europe.
