German retailer selects T2T cotton for t-shirt range
RE&UP Recycling Technologies’ “Next-Gen Cotton” - made with textile-to-textile recycled cotton - has been chosen for collections for German retailer Zalando’s private labels.
Yourturn by Zalando and Even&Odd by Zalando will offer t-shirts made from a circular-knit fabric blending 80% organic cotton with 20% RE&UP’s material produced from textile waste.
Its process transforms pre- and post-consumer textile waste through sorting, deconstruction and decolorisation. It also produces a polyester version.
Özgür Atsan, chief commercial officer of RE&UP, said: “Industrial-scale circularity is no longer aspirational but operational. Through collaborations like this, brands can move from pilot projects to repeatable, scalable production with confidence.”
