Chess, which the International Olympic Committee has considered to be a sport since 1999, is the inspiration behind a new sneaker from Puma.

Number one-ranked chess player and recent former world champion, Magnus Carlsen, worked with the sports brand to design the shoe, which is called the Magnus Carlsen x Puma Clyde Chess. The Clyde is a shoe that Puma launched in 1973, designed for basketball player Walt (Clyde) Frazier.
