Keel Labs celebrates first Kelsun-made jersey tee

US biomaterials firm Keel Labs, formerly AlgiKnit, has presented the first sample garment made with its seaweed-based Kelsun fibre on industry-standard knitting machines.
The jersey t-shirt, produced alongside California-based creative consultant Aditi Mayer, is blended from 70% Kelsun and 30% cotton. Keel’s signature “B” logo has been screen-printed using algae-based black ink developed by Colorado’s Living Ink.
