UK-based Reflec has acquired 100% of its joint venture group, Reflec USA, from Peter Smith, the former president of the business. Reports indicate that the business, which has been turned into a new subsidiary called Reflec Technology Ltd, was bought for $2 million.

Reflec USA has been developing a market for specialist reflective sportswear in the US over the last several years. The decision to acquire the joint venture is part of the parent company’s plan to take its high-tech reflective fabrics to global distribution level.
