Swedish sportswear firm Craft has appointed Philip Tavell category leader for running and alpine skiing. As of mid April, he will support the product management team in the company’s headquarters in Borås, Sweden.

Mr Tavell previously worked for Red Bull as category manager sales and promotion in Stockholm. He is a former mountain biking professional, having been a Multivan Merida rider for four years. Mr Tavell is also a passionate skier and runner.

Catrine Marchall, head of product and design, says: “His experience as an athlete and his business insight will have an immediate impact on Craft.”

The company has been making technical clothing designed to help athletes withstand extreme requirements since 1977.
