China Interdye focuses on ecological textiles
The ninth edition of China Interdye will take place in Shanghai from April 8-10, and will focus on environmentally friendly textiles. More than 400 exhibitors from 14 countries and regions are expected to attend.
Exhibited products will include pigments, intermediates, organic pigments, textile chemicals, auxiliaries and finishing auxiliaries and equipment for supporting production, analyses and testing, monitoring, dyeing and waste treatment.
According to the show’s organisers, China has become the world's biggest dyestuffs producer, trader and consumer. In 2008, it produced 678,000 tons of dyestuffs and 185,000 tons of organic pigments. Import and export volume for dyestuffs and organic pigments totalled 296,000 tons and 152,000 tons, respectively. Trade volume for import and export of dyestuffs and organic pigments reached $1.6 billion and $1.1 billion, up 14% and 9.7% year-on-year, respectively.
Under the eleventh Five-Year Plan, China's dyestuff and chemicals industry will adjust industrial and product structures and will develop efficient, safe and environment-friendly dyestuffs and textile auxiliary agents to meet demand for safe and ecological textiles. China Interdye will play a positive role in promoting and accelerating the overall innovation and improvement of the dyestuff industry.
