Sugoi introduces lightweight helium jacket
Sugoi Performance Apparel has introduced its new Helium Jacket, which weighs less than 100g and can be packed into any of the brand’s signature back pockets.
Featuring an ultra-lightweight woven polyester shell fabric, the Helium is wind and water resistant. To achieve the lightweight result of the jacket, Sugoi designers saw that pit zips were replaced with tiny, unstructured venting holes, while a semi-fitted form reduced overall fabric weight.
According to the company, the jacket is lighter than a t-shirt and offers far greater weather protection than a wind shirt. Furthermore, it uses Scotchlite reflective material on the length of the torso, as well as a full-length zip and a rear zip pocket. With a drop-length tail and cut-out notch at the back of the mock-turtleneck collar, the jacket can be used for riding or running, or any activity where adverse weather conditions occur.
