Higher visitor numbers at Première Vision

According to organisers, 1,135 visits were registered at the recent edition of Première Vision Moscou, a 6% increase over the edition held last March. The show was held March 11-12 at the Manege and 79 exhibitors presented sportswear and apparel at the event.

During the show The Fabric Forum, a specific display showcasing a selection of distinctive fabrics, took place. In the Colour Area, the dominant colours for the season were presented in the form of a giant colour card. A trends master class was held by Sabine le Chatelier, associate fashion director at Première Vision.

Philippe Pasquet, CEO of Première Vision, said: "The overall impression is mixed. Quite a few exhibitors had a good salon and wrote orders. The agents, who are indispensable intermediaries, are key assets and provide accurate and informed insight into this market, particularly in troubled times. The outlook on the market for the short term appears unstable but the perspective on business over the medium term is encouraging. Russia knows how to withstand economic ups and downs, and has the capacity to bounce back."
