Golf brand bids goodbye to its roots
06/04/2009
Headgear brand Kangol is to cease production at its factory in Cleator Moor, Cumbria, the area in northern England in which it was founded in 1938.
The company, now owned by US-based Bollman Headwear, has announced that it will use the facility as a warehouse only, with the loss of 25 out of 32 jobs there, while manufacturing of its golf hats and other products will now take place at other Bollman factories in eastern Europe and the US.
