FIFA to launch clothing brand

Football’s world governing body FIFA is to launch its own range of branded clothes.

The organisation has signed a deal under which five clothing collections, including T-shirts and jackets, for men and women will launch in August.

The body will work in partnership with brand management company Global Brands Group to develop the clothes.

The collections will be available in partnership stores and new official FIFA stores, the first of which opened in Changi airport in Singapore last year, with another planned to open in Paris this September. They will be on show at trade shows over the coming months.

In all, FIFA has said it hopes to open around 100 retail outlets around the world.
