Zoot says key appointment can help it be number one

Performance apparel, footwear and wetsuits brand Zoot Sports has announced the appointment of Jeff Cunningham as sales manager for the US market.

The company described Mr Cunningham as “a seasoned outdoor industry professional”. His previous experience include seven years with Mammut and several years leading key marketing initiatives at The North Face. It said Mr Cunningham would also bring his personal insight from a lifestyle of climbing, running and skiing in the mountains.

“Jeff is a great addition to our team, as his passion for growing specialty brands naturally lends itself to our direction and goals for Zoot,” said Brian Enge, the company’s vice-president and genermal manager. “Jeff’s proven track record in leading performance brands to the next level of growth in specialty channels supports our goal of being the world’s premier endurance sports brand.”

For his part, Mr Cunningham said: "I am excited to join this team and look forward to focusing our efforts and pushing forward. The key ingredients of heritage, momentum and outstanding product are already well established and Zoot is in a prime position for market growth.”

Zoot has seen over 300% revenue growth in the last five years.
