Uwe Wöhner has stepped down from his post as CEO at Trevira by mutual consent, having taken up the position in February 2008. A successor has not yet been appointed.

The company thanked Mr Wöhner for his work and wished him well for the future.

Germany-based Trevira is a subsidiary of Reliance Group, which is based in India. Trevira manufactures branded polyester fibres and filament yarns for the apparel, home textiles and automotive industries as well as for hygiene and technical applications. Its production units can be found in Belgium, Denmark, Germany and Poland. In 2008, it had approximately 1,800 employees and sales of around €323 million.
