According to UK-based swimwear and underwear company Kiniki, sun-lovers can now get an all-over tan while wearing their swimming costumes.

The company says it received a number of requests for swimwear that would allow the sun in while they remained covered up. “These swimsuits are the perfect solution for shy Brits who don’t want white bits,” says John Walker, founder of Kiniki.

He explains that the fabric is a fine mesh that keeps the wearer completely covered while allowing them to get an even tan, eliminating white patches. He claims that people from the UK tend to be reserved, so the company decided to find a practical way for customers to get a tan without having to take their clothes off.
