Latest Italian textile machinery at Techtextil
ACIMIT, the Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers and ICE, the Italian Institute for Foreign Trade will host approximately ten Italian machinery manufacturers at the upcoming Techtextil fair, which will be held in Frankfurt from June 16-18. All ten are involved in the production of machines for technical textiles.
ACIMIT claims that around 100 Italian manufacturers are developing machinery for technical textiles and nonwovens, and that these machines account for approximately 10% of global textile machinery production.
In 2008, textile machinery exports accounted for almost 79% of total turnover for the sector with Asia (43%) the largest export destination, followed by Europe (34%), Latin America (11%), Africa (7%) and North America (5%).
