Record attendance at Smart Fabrics

The fifth annual Smart Fabrics conference, which took place on March 10–12 at the Holiday Inn Rome West, Italy, attracted a record attendance. More than 100 delegates and over 30 speakers attended the event.

During the three-day event, 38 presentations were given. The programme was divided to focus on business as well as high-tech developments in the smart textiles field, including presentations from Puma, Textronics, Lumalive Philips, Peratech, European Commission, Eeonyx, CeNTI and many others.

Attendees included Louis Vuitton, adidas, Phillips, O'Neill, Defence R&D Canada and Italian television channel RAI TV.
The 2010 edition will take place in April 2010 in Miami. The exact dates have not yet been announced.
