Hohenstein presents excellence award
As part of an official ceremony, Robert Steiner, CEO of US textile service provider ALSCO USA, received the Hohenstein Award for entrepreneurial excellence in global textile services on April 22.
Approximately 100 invited guests attended the ceremony and subsequent conference directed by Stefan Mecheels, director of the Hohenstein Institute in Boennigheim.
The award, which does not involve a cash prize, honours individuals who, on the basis of their entrepreneurial performance, have achieved sustained international success in the field of textile services. Prime considerations in this regard include personal commitment, integrity and business philosophy.
ALSCO was founded in 1889 in Lincoln, Nebraska, with a starting capital of $50. The company, which has been managed by Robert Steiner for 30 years, now has approximately 12,000 employees worldwide.
