Growth expected at Techtextil
The number of exhibitors for the upcoming edition of Techtextil, which will run June 16-18 in Frankfurt, has already matched the number of exhibitors at the last event (1,119), and organisers hope to exceed this before the event opens.
“We are particularly pleased that, despite the world economic crisis, many exhibitors who did not exhibit in 2007 have decided to return for Techtextil 2009. Additionally, 12% of the exhibitors are taking part in Techtextil for the first time,” says Olaf Schmidt, vice president textile fairs at Messe Frankfurt.
A major highlight that will take place during the event is the Natural Fibres Conference on June 17 and 18. In addition, the International Wool Textile Organisation (IWTO) will hold a congress on the subject of ‘Wool – Smart, Natural, Technical’. The IWTO Congress will run June 15-18.
