The board of directors at France-based chemicals company Arkema is to propose that Marc Pandraud be appointed director of the company at its next Ordinary General Meeting on June 15.

Mr Pandraud is a graduate of Ecole Supérieure de Commerce, Paris, and is a Chevalier de l'ordre national du Mérite—a knight of the national order of merit, an Order of Chivalry awarded by the President of France.

He has previously worked for Bear Stearns, SG Warburg France, Deutsche Morgan Grenfell and Merrill Lynch.

"If this appointment is approved by the shareholders meeting, Arkema’s board of directors will beneficially draw on Marc Pandraud’s experience and wide-ranging skills," stated Thierry Le Hénaff, the company’s chairman and chief executive officer.
