Schoeller takes on counterfeiters
According to Swiss textile technology company Schoeller, global product counterfeiting causes losses of around EUR 200-300 billion. As a result, the firm has worked hard to come up with a solution.
Schoeller has developed a special textile DNA which identifies the product and its unique design. The solution can detect a copy within seconds using a special signal. The textile DNA development can be used across the whole spectrum of the textile manufacturing chain including for chemicals, fibres, textiles and finished products such as clothing and bags.
The company will be presenting this and other innovations at Techtextil, which will be held June 16-18 in Frankfurt, Germany.
