Texworld supports designers of the future
Texworld is to continue with its Designers and Fashion project next September and will select a specialist jury from the fashion world to choose between the candidate portfolios.
Last year, for the first time, the organisers of Texworld offered free space at the show to young fashion graduates. Michael Scherpe, president of Messe Frankfurt France, believes that it is really important to offer designers who are just starting out a free opportunity to present their collections and to open its doors wide to international fashion design schools.
Mr Scherpe also feels it is important for international exhibitors to meet with these young people who can help them in interpreting the requirements of the western market, to adapt their collections and to help their own staff.
Young stylists, designers and pattern designers with a strong collection and a desire to develop their careers on an international scale can send their application (CV, portfolio and any articles that demonstrate the designer’s work) by post to Texworld or by email to francois.decaux@france.messefrankfurt.com. Applications should be submitted before June 1.
The next edition of Texworld will take place on September 14-17 at the Paris le Bourget Exhibition Centre.
