Special rugby boot helps Morton’s Neuroma sufferer

Welsh footwear firm Ace Feet in Motion has created a rugby boot to help rugby player Ryan Jones deal with having Morton’s Neuroma.

Captain of the Welsh national team, Mr Jones has been suffering from the condition for some time without realising. Although it is a benign condition, Morton’s Neuroma is a thickening of the tissue that surrounds nerves leading up to the toes, which can cause a lot of pain. Mr Jones’ performance has been directly by the problem, causing him to miss matches in some instances.

Ace Feet in Motion were able to diagnose the condition and explain what was causing it. The company then started designing new boots for the Ospreys star which would help with the condition. With specially moulded insoles, the blue leather boots were custom made for Mr Jones.

He claims to have immediately felt the benefit of wearing the boots, which no longer make him feel like he has a stone in his boot, as he did before.
