ASF takes silver option

Action Sports Fabrics, a California-based manufacturer of specialised fabrics for the outdoor and sports apparel industries, has chosen SmartSilver antimicrobial additives, developed and produced by NanoHorizons, to enhance its Eclipse base-layer performance fabrics.
“Outdoor and sports consumers truly value effective anti-odour performance in their apparel,” said ASF’s Adam Clark on announcing the deal. “SmartSilver provides antimicrobial protection that really works, plus it won’t wash out or wear off for the expected life of the garment. Another significant advantage is that SmartSilver’s proprietary nanotechnology won’t interfere with Eclipse’s other functional benefits such as wicking and breathability.”
