Bobby Jones Lifestyle, a golf apparel brand named after the most famous amateur golfer in history, has designed a special clothing collection named after the tenth hole on the Old Course at St Andrews in Scotland that bears the Bobby Jones name.

The 10th Hole Collection consists of high-quality apparel made from high-quality raw materials.

Lloyd Booker, managing director of Bobby Jones Lifestyle, said on announcing the new development: “The relationship between Bobby Jones and St Andrews is of huge importance in the history of golf. Jones won The Open on the Old Course in 1927 where his sublime play and modest demeanour endeared him to the people of the town. From that day he fell in love with the Old Course and the town and this mutual adoration continued for many years.”

In 1936 Jones visited St Andrews with a group of friends en route to the Berlin Olympics with the intention of playing a quiet round on the Old Course. However word had spread of his impending arrival and when he arrived at the first tee an enormous crowd had gathered there to see the great man play. Throughout the day the crowds continued to grow and after finishing with a score of 72, he shook hands and signed autographs with the citizens of St Andrews who had come out to see him play.

Bobby Jones was invited back to St Andrews in 1958 to be honoured and given the freedom of the city. “I could take out my life everything but my experiences here in St Andrews and I would still have had a rich and full life," Jones said as he acknowledged his gratitude for the friendship he had always felt from the people of St Andrews.

Lloyd Booker, continued: "The Bobby Jones relationship with St Andrews is a remarkable story and we are delighted to have produced this special collection in association with St Andrews Links. The Links recognise the importance of the Bobby Jones brand to St Andrews and this exclusive range will undoubtedly prove to be a success over the coming months."
