Belgian company Luxilon Industries won unprecedented attention during the 2009 Roland Garros tennis tournament after Time magazine revealed that 65% of participants in the men’s competition and 45% in the women’s used its high-tech polyester strings in their raquets.

Strings for raquet sports have become an increasingly important product category in recent years for the company that made its name as a manufacturer in filament technology for aerospace, medical sutures, paper felts and other technical fields.

Luxilon will have its latest raquet string developments on display at the Techtextil exhibition in Frankfurt from June 16–18.
