Première Vision launches awards
05/06/2009
The organisers of the Première Vision exhibition, which next takes place in Paris from 15-18 September, have announced that this next edition will feature a new awards programme.
The PV Awards will seek to reward the most outstanding fabrics created by exhibitor companies.
Four prizes are available in all. There will be a Grand Jury Prize for the fabric that the panel of seven judges deems to be "the most exceptional, the most symbolic of the coming fashion zeitgeist and the most pertinent".
There will also be a Handle prize for the fabric that "allies the most astonishing tactical and behavioural qualities, the fabric that touches the senses and the emotions".
The third category in the PV Awards will be for innovation. The Innovation Prize will go to the fabric that the judges feel is "most innovative, most intelligent, the most technological and creative".
Finally, there will be an Imagination Prize, for the most daring, most original and most surprising fabric in terms of fibre, technique, decoration or finishing.
