Innovations from Dow Corning

Dow Corning has announced that it will launch "some exciting innovations for the textile industry" at Techtextil in Frankfurt, June 16-18.
It will showcase two new technology platforms for its Active Protection System, a textile that provides impact protection while also allowing comfort, flexibility and breathability for the wearer.
The Dow Corning DS-9000 Eco Repel, a technology that allows apparel manufacturers to increase softness and hydrophobicity on existing flame-retardant finishes without impacting flame retardancy, will also feature. The company says this new product is eco-friendly as it is formaldehyde-free and formulated with a low amount of surfactants to reduce environmental impact.
