Conservation initiative in Friedrichshafen

11/06/2009

The European Outdoor Group’s Association for Conservation will hold another fundraising exercise at OutDoor 2009 in Friedrichshafen, July 16-19.

Fundraising at trade shows over the last two years has helped to provide €50,000 for conservation projects across the continent.

Association members have donated a series of  products that the association will aim to sell to delegates to raise more funds at this summer’s Friedrichshafen event. Brands joining in this year include Timex, Nikwax, Berghaus, Columbia, Deuter, Ortlieb, Outdoor Markt, Grivel, Patagonia, Mammut and Vaude. There will also be the one-off opportunity to purchase a special edition waterbottle from CamelBak.

Manager of the association, Tanya Bascombe, said: “This is a great opportunity to get some great new gear for a small donation and feel good about being able to support conservation at the same time—a win-win situation.”

The fundraiser will take place every day of the show at the EOG Association for Conservation stand, Entrance Foyer West, outside Hall A1.
