Huntsman High Court hearing upheld
12/06/2009
Reports suggest that a court in India has ordered Kiri Dyes & Chemicals Limited to stop selling one of its products, a black dye, pending further investigations into the possibility that it may infringe on a Huntsman patent.
The Swiss-based specialist dye and chemical provider has made it known that a decision in the High Court in Mumbai last month
prohibits Kiri, which is based in the state of Gujarat, from marketing or selling its Reactive
Super Black G product until after a further hearing.
Huntsman’s Textile Effects division has claimed the product violates its Indian patent on the Novacron Super Black G dye.
