Huntsman puts polyol prices up

The Polyurethanes division of Huntsman Corporation announced today that it will increase the price of all Jeffol polyol products by eight US cents per pound in the US, Mexico and Canada region, with effect from July 15, 2009, or as specific contracts allow.
Greg Geaman, vice-president for the Americas for the company´s Polyurethanes division said on making the announcement: "This increase follows our recently announced increase in propylene oxide prices and is necessary to address the recent sharp rise in our raw material costs.”
Polyether polyols are widely used in the manufacture of synthetic fibres and elastomeric shoe soles.
