California-based lifestyle apparel company Horny Toad has announced that it will debut its spring 2010 line at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market in Salt Lake City from July 21–24.
Styles include lightweight jackets, dresses and skirts made, the brand says, from fine fabrics with an ultra soft hand, reflected with new materials.
It has said it wil introduce ten new materials for the season, including Palapa, a blend of organic cotton and Spandex, and Foxtrot, a fast-drying combination of organic cotton and Modal.
Kate Larramendy, the brand’s design director, has said she is especially excited about this season’s collection. She commented: “Spring 2010 is a streamlined collection and the focus is tight and crisp, making every style count. We’re definitely in the ‘do more with less frame of mind’ and it feels good. We are especially thrilled about the strides we’ve made this season bringing the collection to new heights of sustainability. A whopping 73% of the line uses organic cotton and 99% of the line contains a significant eco-component that also includes Modal, Tencel and recycled polyester.”
