Visitor numbers give Techtextil another new record

After announcing at the opening of Tecthextil 2009 that the number of exhibitors had increased to a record 1,201 companies (sportstextiles.com, June 16), organisers, Messe Frankfurt, have now announced a record number of visitors to the three-day event.
Messe Franfurt has reported final visitor numbers of 23,300, compared to 22,876 the last time the event took place in Frankfurt, in 2007. "Precisely because these are times of economic uncertainty, companies have been setting themselves new targets with innovative products and areas of application," said Detlef Braun, member of the board of management of Messe Frankfurt.
