Provider of breathable cushioning materials for sports and outdoor footwear Rogers Corporation has raised over $10,000 in support of the American Cancer Society's annual Relay for Life event. Rogers was recognised as a Gold Medal Team for its total contributions and also received a first place award for attaining the highest number of on-line donations.
In addition to taking part in the 24-hour walking event in Woodstock, Connecticut, Rogers made its Poron urethane insoles available to other participants. "The battle against cancer can have many layers of sorrow, hope, joy, and each year our employees look forward to coming together to contribute to this fight. Rogers Corporation was delighted to provide Relay participants with quality insoles that would not only comfort them through each step of the Relay but throughout the life of their shoes," said a Rogers representative.
