Infinity in TNF sleeping bags

Outdoor brand The North Face has adopted PrimaLoft’s Infinity insulation technology in seven new sleeping bags for spring 2010. The new sleeping bags will be introduced at the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market event in July.

Infinity is a fine denier, continuous-filament insulation specifically designed for sleeping bags to offer improved warmth, compressibility and softness.

In independent testing, the product proved to be over 20% more compressible than traditional continuous-filament insulation, yielding a difference of 2.3 litres.

“PrimaLoft is widely recognised as the premium supplier of performance insulations,” said Scott McGuire, product director of equipment for The North Face. “When we heard they were developing a superior continuous-filament insulation, it didn’t take long for us to adopt it in our pinnacle product."
