Clothing brand O’Neill has announced that will run its Surf Academy again this summer, with five US professional surfers and instructors giving advice and demonstrations to young people at a variety of European venues, starting in the Netherlands.
“This is now our third summer involved in the Surf Academy,” said Sierra Partridge, who along with her twin sister Hailey, will be teaching in the waves. “It’s such an exciting experience for us to be able to pass on the gift of surfing to future generations.”
Joey Hutson, Travis Nicolet and Peter Mueller are the other surfers involved.
The O’Neill Surf Academy started in early July in the North Sea waters of Bergen aan Zee and Scheveningen in the Netherlands, before heading down the coast to Knokke in Belgium and then into Quiberon and La Torche, in Brittany, France. Free, day-long surf tuition will be available to young people aged from six to 16, providing hundreds of children their first experience of surfing.
