New collections for tennis and activewear
02/07/2009
Women's sportswear designer Linda Hipp and her company, LIJA, have announced new collections for activewear and for tennis.
Ms Hipp said the new ranges showcase feminine silhouettes and "chic accents" such as colour-blocking, ruffles, ruching and zipper detailing. She has used a variety of lightweight performance fabrics in garments that include tank tops, short-sleeved tops, vests, dresses, jackets, capris, shorts, skorts and pants. Key technical properties include moisture wicking, quick drying, wind resistance, breathability and UV protection.
Compression I, a dense Meryl Nylon/Lycra that is stretchy and soft to the touch, is LIJA's core fabric for the active and tennis collections. This fabrication has body hugging support, moisture wicking and UV protection of 40-plus.
Fluid, is another of the fabrics used in the collections. It is extremely lightweight and has a buttery-soft feel for comfort and mobility. Technical features include moisture wicking and UV protection of 20-plus, as well as quick-drying functionality.
