Concept III focuses on eco textiles

According to performance textile specialist Concept III, demand for eco-friendly products continues to be strong despite the fact that many consumers have less disposable income.

While value continues to be significant factor, it believes addressing environmental responsibilities in clothing is as important as ever.

It claims many brands are using high percentages of sustainable yarns in their textile ranges and that many are targeting younger consumers, who are often more willing to invest in “green” products.

However, Concept III stresses that textiles must continue to be appealing; their environmental benefits will not be enough if the product fails to stand out from the crowd.

In response to these observations, the company has been looking at ways it can cater to current demand. It is offering recycled polyester and regenerated cotton, as well as natural fibres such as wool, which have a low carbon footprint. It will also work one-on-one with brands to develop new, unique products “specific to the story they want to tell”.
