According to the organisers of OutDoor Friedrichshafen, entries for this year’s OutDoor Industry Awards were of an extremely high standard. In total, 242 entries from 18 countries were submitted.

On July 2, 63 entries were selected to receive an award and nine were selected to receive a Gold award. The jury said that the competition reflected the “high level of outstanding innovation in this industry”.

The products entered were judged in the following categories: apparel/helmets/shoes, backpacks/travel luggage, mountain climbing equipment, camping equipment, sleeping bags, accessories, products with high ecological and sustainable value, and material innovations. Students were invited to enter their product designs in the “Concepts” category.

Finally, the OutDoor Celebrity of the Year award winner will be announced at the ceremeny, which will take place on July 16.

OutDoor Friedrichshafen runs July 16-19.
