New textile solutions at Tanatex
Netherlands-based Tanatex Chemicals has added several new products to its product portfolio.
Mesitol BFN-AD is a new and improved version of Mesitol BFN. It is said to be an efficient, light coloured after-treatment agent for polyamide fibres and their blends. It offers excellent colour and print fastness at 50°C and 60°C as well as offering good acid stability and low viscosity.
Tanaterge Pura is a post-scouring agent that helps streamlines the wash-off process. According to the company, using the agent can lead to substantial savings in terms of water, energy and time. It removes hydrolytes effectively and provides good colour fastness in a shorter time.
New coating solutions from the firm include Edolan Breathable and Edolan C-Range. Edolan Breathable is a range of aqueous coatings for performance textiles. The coatings are said to offer breathability because of their ability to transport moisture vapour. They are particularly well suited for use in waterproof breathable fabric constructions for sportswear, protective apparel and military applications. The Edolan C-Range is a new range of water-based polyurethane dispersions containing a high proportion of solids. The range is emission-free, consumes less energy and is skin friendly. It currently consists of four soft to medium-soft aliphatic polyurethane dispersions for technical textiles.
Finally, the finishing range has been extended to include Persoftal Nano-S2G and Baygard Easy Clean. Persoftal Nano-Silicone Second Generation is a hydrophilic and versatile silicone softener that is said to give an excellent softening effect on woven and knitted goods made from cellulosics, synthetics, wool, silk and blends of these fibres. Baygard Easy Clean is a new stain repellent and release system based on environmentally friendly fluorocarbon chemistry. It repels dirt, water and oil and protects against oil and aqueous based stains.
