News reports suggest that there has been a great deal of interest from potential buyers for Washington-based outdoor clothing chain Eddie Bauer Holdings.

According to Reuters, VF Corporation and Iconix Brand Group are among those who have submitted bids.

Eddie Bauer filed for bankruptcy in June and has reportedly received separate bids for its intellectual property, its inventory and for the whole company, including its existing stores.

An auction will decide which assets will be sold, and to whom.
