According to statistics from China's Textile Industry Association, the country’s textile exports fell during the first half of the year. However, Chinese textile exporters remain positive.

Between January and May, textile and clothing fell 12% compared with the same period last year. However, the Chinese share of the US textile import market grew 3.75%.

A national survey shows that 87% of businesses expect orders for the second half of the year to remain stable or increase compared with the first six months. Many are relying on domestic sales as the economic downturn continues to have a significant impact on international trade. Domestic output for the first five months of the year reportedly exceeded one trillion yuan, up almost 10% year-on-year.
