Argotec restructures TPU film business

Massachusetts-based Argotec is to restructure its business so that it can support the textile lamination and performance apparel industries more effectively.

President and chief executive officer, Bruce Wilby, stated: “Instead of focusing just on products we can make and market, we are concentrating on better matching our film extrusion capabilities, technical expertise and resources with the applications of our customers—strength to strength.  And that is especially the case with textile laminators who incorporate our OmniFlex waterproof-breathable and ArgoFlex barrier films in their products.”

The company has reconfigured its business into six main product offerings: ArgoFlex textile laminating films for bonding fabric layers together, air and water containment, and waterproofing applications; OmniFlex waterproof-breathable films with antibacterial odour-control technology for performance apparel and footwear applications; ArgoBond optical interlayer films and edge seal tapes for laminated glass applications; ArgoGuard tough, weatherable, high-gloss aliphatic films for paint and metal protection; ArgoGraph printable, conformable, high-gloss overlaminate films for graphics applications; and ArgoThane, a complete offering of the company’s TPU film and sheet for applications requiring a high degree of customisation.
