Israel-based manufacturer of nylon 6.6 Nilit recently held a conference in China, where it has been expanding its activities.
The conference, which took place in Yiwu, Zhejiang province, was designed to help the company build relationships with major manufacturers in the region. More than 200 industry representatives attended the event including manufacturers of hosiery, seamless bodywear and intimate apparel as well as producers of covered yarn and circular-knit fabric.
Following a formal lunch, the event began with a welcome address by Rami Bitensky, general manager of Nilit (Suzhou). “Our goal in Nilit China is to provide manufacturers with the best raw materials in order to produce the finest garments which should compete all over the world with not only lower prices but with top quality and innovation,” he said.
Oded Breier, marketing and sales manager of the fibres division, talked about the company’s growth and global expansion, while Yu Hailong, vice general manager of Nilit (Suzhou), presented a detailed description of its portfolio of specialty yarns.
This was followed by a presentation by fashion designer and trend consultant Ilana Joselowitz, which highlighted macro consumer directions and an overview of global lingerie and bodywear trends. The conference ended with a fashion show featuring concept garments created in the firm’s R&D department.
