Invista celebrated its 50th anniversary at its annual group runway show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim in Miami (July 18-21).

Gretta Monahan, style expert and co-host of the Tim Gunn’s Guide to Style television show hosted the runway show featuring swimwear styles from the past, present and future. The company showcases garments from the 1960s to the 1990s as well as 2010 designer collections forecasting the next generation of design and fabrication.
 
Introduced in 2005, swimwear with Xtra Life Lycra fibre is said to provide longer-lasting fit with resistance to bagging and sagging. It is also five to ten times more resistant to chlorine, suntan lotion and skin oils than swimwear with ordinary spandex, which helps keep its fit longer.
