New senior appointment at Timberland

US-based footwear and apparel manufacturer Timberland has appointed Mark Bryden to the newly created post of vice president and general manager of its North American operations. He will be reporting to president and CEO, Jeffrey Swartz.

Mr Bryden was previously president and general manager of SmartWool Corp, which Timberland acquired in 2005. He also worked as an executive at Levi Strauss for 26 years.

Mark Satkiewicz, vice president of sales, will replace Mr Bryden as president and general manager at SmartWool.
