Musto appoints its first marketing director

Sailing, equestrian and outdoor performance apparel brand Musto has appointed Mostyn Thomas as marketing director. He will be responsible for all elements of brand communication across all product categories: sailing, equestrian, shooting and lifestyle.

Part of his role will also
include supporting the growth of the Musto retail store presence across the UK and developing the brand’s online activity.

Mr Thomas was formerly head of global marketing and sponsorship at
rugby and lifestyle brand Canterbury of New Zealand, where he worked for seven years. Canterbury was sold earlier this month after a period of difficult results.

The appointment of a marketing director is a
new move for Musto. As a member of the senior management team, Mr Thomas will be reporting directly to the company’s chief executive, Nigel Musto.
