Polyamide producer names new CEO

Polyamide High Performance (PHP), a manufacturer of high-tenacity polyamide yarns and polymers, has named Lowell Bivens as its new chief executiev, succeeding the late Carlos Serrano.
Mr Serrano, a keen tri-athlete, was struck by a vehicle and killed on July 29 while riding his bike.
"While we are still shocked and saddened by the sudden death of Carlos, I am pleased to have an experienced and familiar colleague like Lowell who can assume the leadership position at PHP," said Jochen Boos, managing director of the company.
